Birthday Wishes!

It's my dear sister's birthday today! I love you Denise and I am soooooo thankful to have you as my sister. I am so blessed at the closeness we share and the bond that we continue to build. I love talking to you and hearing your voice daily & I'm thankful that you are YOU! Looking forward to the ever growing journey of the precious sisterhood we share!

I am ALSO so happy to announce that my sister is now an ENGAGED woman! Her newly fiance, Brandon, proposed to her after her birthday dinner in front of family and friends outside a restaurant in beautiful La Jolla, CA. I am so excited to be able to help her plan the wedding and to see all the incredible blessings God has in store for them in the future!

Angel has definitely been teaching me a lot about how little patience I have! It is so amazing to see God working in me through a dog! I am praying that I can have more grace for others, forgive more easily, and not be so easily angered. Thank you Angel, for showing me the areas in which I need to grow most.

AND...lastly, Caleb and I have booked a mini-vacation for his pre-deployment leave. We are heading down to Myrtle Beach, SC to enjoy some east coast paradise! We'll be staying 4 days/5nights and we are looking forward to relaxing, enjoying the beach (and hopefully sun!), and all the fun activities there is to do in Myrtle Beach.

Hopefully everyone is doing well! We are so thankful to have such a great and loving family and miss and love you all so much.

Signing off with some birthday pictures for the birthday girl!

Angel was also super excited to wish Auntie Denise a very happy birthday!

Results

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to update you all on Caleb's endoscopy on Monday (sorry it's taken awhile! it's been a hectic week!). The doctor found some redness and inflammation around his throat so he took a biopsy to rule out Berret's esophagus, which could be a pre-cancerous condition. We finally got the results back yesterday morning, and the doctor said the biopsy was NEGATIVE! Praise God! We are so thankful for all your prayers and for God's continued blessing.

Caleb will have to follow a strict anti-reflux diet plan to keep his acid reflux in check. I would type out all of the foods he can't eat, but it wold be WAY too long (in case you're curious, it basically consists of a very low-fat, lean diet!).

We had a long and eventful day consisting of attending a baby shower, a 3-year-old's birthday party, and lots of grocery shopping to adapt to Caleb's new diet! We are now about to enjoy a nice movie and roast some marshmallows over our fireplace!

We are feeling so thankful and blessed this weekend and hope you all do too!

XOXOXO,
Nancy
